A specially-formulated, American-made Ocean Silk™ lubricant coats the interior to handle the rigors of saltwater fishing. The Frigate II’s spool is forged and double-anodized, with a braid grip arbor to create traction and prevent slippage when tying braided line directly to the spool—no backing needed. Inside, the stainless steel main shaft with brass and zinc alloy gearing comprise a tough and durable core; our 8-bearing system imparts ultra-smooth and stable performance, and includes Powerlock™ instant anti-reverse.
